Mobile Art Meet exists to bring people together to create a community. Our mission is to provide welcoming, accessible spaces where artists and creatives of all kinds can gather, make share, and connect - regardless of skill level, medium, or background.

We are a casual meet up group.
We believe creativity thrives in community. Through regular art meets, collaborations, and partnerships, we foster connection, encourage creative expression, and support the cultural life of Mobile and the greater Gulf Coast.

Chair
LaToya McCoy
Toya—also known as the art fairy of Mobile, Lady T. Musings—is an artist, writer, and community organizer based in Mobile, Alabama, and the Chair of Mobile Art Meet. They founded MAM in 2024 with a simple goal: to create in community.By fall 2025, LaToya had brought together a team of creative, driven individuals who shared that vision and wanted to expand it. Together, they grew Mobile Art Meet from a casual gathering space into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, rooted in the belief that the arts—and all forms of creative expression—thrive best when they are shared, supported, given room to grow, and made accessible to everyone. Today, MAM exists to better serve and uplift the creative Gulf Coast community. At the heart of Toya’s work—both artistically and organizationally—is the belief that creating is an act of resilience, one that fosters joy and opens the door to meaningful connection.
